Border Clashes Reignite Following Intense Israeli Strikes

Throughout Wednesday night, the Israeli military carried out bombings in various locations in Lebanon, including the Kfarshouba heights, Kfarkila, Markaba, al-Taybeh, Wadi Slouqi, Aita al-Shaab, and the vicinity of al-Naqoura.

Israel intensified its assault on Tuesday, focusing particularly on the Slouki valley along the Lebanese border, using air strikes and artillery. According to the Israeli army, this operation targeted a large number of Hezbollah’s positions, military installations, and weapon storage facilities.

Hezbollah, on its part, claimed to have launched several attacks against Israeli forces and positions on the same day.

The Slouki valley and surrounding areas, which were under Israel’s control until 2000, have historically been significant operation zones for Hezbollah against Israeli forces.

The ongoing conflict, which has lasted over three months, has resulted in significant casualties in Lebanon. According to an AFP report, the violence has claimed the lives of over 190 people, including more than 140 Hezbollah combatants, over 20 civilians, and three journalists.

In contrast, Israeli authorities report the death of nine soldiers and six civilians in northern Israel due to the conflict.
