Man arrested for driving stolen taxi full of sheep

SIDON, Lebanon: The Internal Security Forces Friday arrested a man for allegedly stealing a taxi and a number of sheep in the southern town of Bqosta.

A local police patrol was alerted at 4 a.m. to a person driving a Mercedes taxi with three sheep in Sharhabeel, northeast of Sidon.

Bqosta policemen immediately apprehended the driver and alerted the Internal Security Forces, who determined that both the car and the sheep had been stolen. The driver, identified as Palestinian Omar S., born in 1992, was arrested and an investigation is ongoing.
