Bus driver murdered in e.Lebanon gas station

AL-AIN, Lebanon: A Lebanese bus driver was found lying in a pool of blood inside a room at a gas station in east Lebanon, a security source told The Daily Star.

According to the source, Youssef Idris, a bus driver in his thirties, was found covered in blood in a room at a gas station, which is located at the entrance of the Bekaa Valley village of Al-Ain.

The man was rushed to the hospital by the Red Cross but soon succumbed to his wounds, the source explained. The preliminary medical report said Idriss was beaten with a sharp object.

Idris's family and friends last heard from him at 10 am, and his van was found parked outside the gas station half an hour later.

Police and Army Intelligence patrols rushed to the scene and launched an investigation.
