Acropolis in Athens reopens after virus shutdown

The ancient Temple of Parthenon is illuminated atop the Acropolis hill in Athens, May 17, 2020, during the gradual easing of lockdown starting May 4. The flagship monument of antiquity, the Acropolis reopened the morning of May 18, 2020, like all archaeological sites in Greece, two months after 'the suspension of their operation' to counter the spread of Covid-19.
